Jewel of the day: Elsa Peretti for Tiffany rock crystal and gold cabochon ring

Elsa Peretti has designed many pieces incorporating rock crystal in a sinuous and graceful way. This ring features a large cabochon stone set into the kind of heavy 18k yellow gold setting favoured for signet rings. The design is also available in gold and sterling versions with lapis, turquoise, green and black jade. This version in sterling is Cdn $785; in 18k gold it is Cdn $2,300 and can be viewed (Canadian site) here.
