This sterling silver double heart by Me & Ro, also available in 18k yellow gold, is a charitable initiative that came about at the behest of actress Julia Roberts.
Their site explains, “When Julia Roberts reached out to Me&Ro Designer Robin Renzi to help spread awareness about Charlotte and Gwenyth Gray’s fight against Batten Disease, Robin created this symbolic Double Heart Pendant. Designer Robin Renzi created this custom pendant to benefit The Charlotte and Gwenyth Gray Foundation, founded to raise the estimated 10 million dollars necessary to fund the medical research and save the lives of children devastated by Batten Disease. The hearts measure approximately ½” in length and ¼” in width from a 16″ or 18″ fine silver chain with a spring ring closure. The engraving on the back of the heart features a small heart, a symbol of The Charlotte and Gwenyth Gray Foundation. 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of the pendant benefit the Foundation.”
The sterling version sells for USD$100 (the 16 inch attached chain) or $105 (for the 18 inch chain). The gold version starts at USD$650, and is $700 for the longer piece.
