Jewel of the day: Anne Koplik Designs Art Deco Style Earrings

Art Deco retains its appeal nearly a hundred years after it first appeared. The geometric lines are still so very wearable. Here, a pair of enamel and Swarovski crystal earrings by Anne Koplik.   1. I think Art Deco -designed jewelry is so appealing because it offers an alternative to the usual floral/butterfly/filigree designs that are so prevalent in jewelry design for women. I’m not a huge fan of florals or butterflies, so it’s great to have Art Deco choices.

  2. I don’t mind florals but I agree the geometrics look very fresh and modern, especially when Deco first appeared – a real antidote to the heavier Victorian and delicate Edwardian designs people were used to.
