I like how this necklace blends the look of Victorian mourning jewellery and Berlin ironwork pieces with a more modern sensibility.
By Federica Rettore, it is made with 18kt rose gold, steel, ebony, rice cut brown diamond, and black diamond pave. Contact the designer for pricing.

I have met Federica. Her work is as charming as the lady herself. She’s marketed by a rising star in the business, Tony Goldbloom, a dear friend. If you love this piece, companion type wooden pieces, by Patricia Von Musulin, are also terrific.
Von Musulin’s wood pieces tend to have more of a “pique” look to them with the small embedded pieces of silver and are more organic looking than this, I think. But I do love her work and have a few pieces of it (none of the wooden ones, though).
