Queen Elizabeth is certainly spoiled for choice when it comes to jewellery. Her ancestors managed to collect a pretty vast trove, in between personal purchase and gifts, and she wears it all very well.
For the Service of Thanksgiving in honour of her 90th birthday, she chose a little seen piece, the Richmond brooch. It was a gift to Queen Mary for her wedding n 1893 (though it appears the removable pearl drop was taken off), and a pair of pearl and diamond earrings also owned by Queen Mary. Though the jewels are always spectacular, I love that the queen wears beautiful bright colours and looks amazing. Happy 90th (twice!), your majesty.
