Jewel of the day: Jennifer Fisher XL Multi Hoops

While these would likely be the tinkly accessory that could drive cube mates crazy, I think these aptly named multi hoops would be fun to wear.

By Jennifer Fisher, they are available in silver plated or 14k gold tone plated metal. They have a drop of 5 inches, and are 2 inches wide and sell for USD$495. Jingle on!

Jewel of the day: Annelise Michelson Algae Sea Leaf Choker

From Annelise Michelson‘s Algae collection comes this sea leaf choker (there are other pieces in the collection with the same motif). Not sure how comfortable this would be to wear but I like the look of it, standing up on the neck instead of draping downward. It’s made with silver or gold plated brass and sells for €1,125.

Jewel of the day: #baskets4bros and a prostate cancer pendant

My title today is a bit different than usual! The necklace below is made to show support for those dealing with prostate cancer (the blue bead can also signify other medical issues). And I’d like to give a shout out to a fundraising event taking place today to help see out Movember, where for every tweet or Instagram hashtag using #baskets4bros Astellas Pharma Cancer will donate $5 up to a maximum of $50,000. The baskets refers to the Toronto Raptors vs. Philadelphia 76ers game taking place today, where fans will be asked to do the same.

If you’d like to show your support by buying this necklace, it is from Etsy seller RanolaSg. It is sterling silver with a Swarovski crystal bead accent and sells for USD$29. And you can use that #baskets4bros hashtag to help close out Movember with a donation on your behalf.

Jewel of the day: Me to We Mambo Wrap Bracelet

If you are seeking good gifts which also do good in the world, there are a number of companies with charitable efforts linked to their products. Me to We makes their jewelry in the communities in which they operate, in this case, Kenya, where this bracelet (which can also be worn as a short necklace or headband) is handmade by local women.

The purchase price of USD$65 goes to fund local clean water efforts. The organization notes, “Every bracelet purchased gives one month of clean water to a family in a WE Village, providing access to safe sources of clean water to help them stay healthy and avoid waterborne illnesses. When you receive your new Me to We Artisans accessory, look out for the unique code on the back of your product package! Enter it online at trackyourimpact.com to learn more about the life-changing impact your purchase makes.”

Jewel of the day: Bibi van der Velden Rhino Ring

Studs have been a popular motif in clothing and accessories for a few years now. While a rhino horn is not strictly speaking the same kind of thing, it does look rather stud-like (speaking Valentino here, not sleazy bar dude) on this ring by Bibi van der Velden. It’s made of is made of sterling silver, 18ct yellow gold, brown diamonds and polki diamonds and sells for €3,070. If this interests you as a Christmas gift, take note that there is a 30 day delivery period.

Jewel of the day: Jade Trau Ara Hoop Earrings

Love the delicacy and sparkle of these earrings, though I would be petrified they would get pushed out of my ears by my hair. Which has happened. Hence my collection of tiny rubber stoppers that prevent this from happening.

These are from Jade Trau; they are 14k gold d with a front- facing ear wire set with a round-brilliant diamond. They hang approximately 2″ in front and 1″ behind the ear and are set with.19 ctw of diamonds. They sell for USD$1,350.

Jewel of the day: Chanel Coco Crush Quilted Ring

Chanel’s fine jewellery line still plays off the original elements of the house of Chanel – quilting, pearls, coloured gemstones, and bold pieces. Part of the new Coco Crush collection, this ring is completely pave set with diamonds (total carat weight is not mentioned) set in 18k white gold.

It sells for £13,750.

Jewel of the day: Shelley MacDonald Ulu Earrings

It’s probably a dream for a lot of small craftspeople to have an item worn by a celebrity. Shelley MacDonald’s life and business changed when the Duchess of Cambridge wore a pair of her earrings, called the Ulu, on her recent trip to Canada. You can read more about how that happened here.

MacDonald has been working overtime since then to stock her Etsy store, Shelley Silversmith. The good news: you can still purchase the earrings. This pair is the large size in sterling silver and sells for $93 (I am assuming it is US currency.)
