There is a nice charitable initiative tied to this ring by Vhernier. Dubbed the Pirouette, it’s made of sterling silver with a rose gold core. The company explains, “For many years Vhernier has sustained Artists for Peace and Justice (APJ), which supports the education of children in Haiti. All the profits from the sale of every Pirouette ring – with “Vhernier for Kids Haiti” engraved on the inside – guarantees a whole year of secondary school education and a new future for a Haitian student.
“APJ is incredibly grateful for Vhernier’s generosity,” declared Paul Haggis, founder of APJ and Academy Award winning film maker. “Artists for Peace and Justice believes that the recovery of Haiti depends on the education of new generations. Thanks to Vhernier’s support, the future of Haiti is looking a little brighter.”
The Pirouette ring is made of silver and sheathed in rose gold. With only 1,000 pieces created, it is sold at Vhernier boutiques for $1,370.00 USD. The company pledges 100 per cent of the proceeds (the equivalent of $600 USD) to APJ (http://www.apjnow.org/). At the same time, Vhernier has supported the “A Ring to Save a Child’s Life” project and the non-profit Francesca Rava NPH Italia Onlus Foundation: one hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale of each ring was donated to paediatric surgery at the Saint Damien Hospital in Haiti, one of the world’s poorest countries. To raise public awareness, Vhernier has dedicated an advertising campaign to the initiative, which features movie stars and show business celebrities in the role of ambassadors.”
