Jewel of the day: Morphe Jewelry Sugar Plum Fairy Ring

I always like featuring Canadian designers. Montreal-based Morphē Jewelry offers delicate handmade pieces, here with a classic ballet theme. The Sugar Plum Fairy ring is described as, “A romantic work of architectural beauty, the Sugar Plum Fairy ring was directly inspired by the beautiful Russian prima ballerina Nina Kaptsova during her performance of the “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy”. As twinkling and delectably lovely as the dainty sprite herself, dancing from one dew-dropped flower petal to another, this graceful ring is an homage to the delicate filigree of movements in her dance.”

It is made with 14k gold, set with a 2.5mm diamond, 2 natural pearls and 5 natural diamonds (total ct weight approx 0.12ct). It sells for USD$1,020.

A little bit more about this brand: Morphē Jewelry is a fine jewelry brand created and designed by Sofia Ajram in her Montreal studio. Founded in 2015 with the intention of interpreting the beauty and mystique of outer space through the lens of jewelry, Morphē Jewelry aspires to give each piece a background narrative of its own in an enchanting mix of fantasy and luxury. The promise of Morphē Jewelry is to provide unique styles of fine jewelry that will be cherished for generations to come.”

  1. This is such a pretty piece. I love their creative twist on the ballet influence.
