Jewel of the day: Mala Collective Tiger’s Eye Mala Strand
Touted as a great Father’s Day gift, (depending on the dad, I guess) this pretty mala bead strand from Mala Collective is made with tiger’s eye stones and rudrakhsa wooden beads.
The site notes about tiger’s eye: the stone is known to bring sharpness to one’s inner vision and better understanding of the cause and effect of each situation. It encourages one to use their powers wisely and is known to support necessary change in all aspects of one’s life.
The company also explains that each piece is blessed by a Balinese priest “in a ceremony known as Pasupati. Pasupati changes the status of an object from the profane to the sacred by blessings that are based on Satyam Siwam Sundaram (Truth, Purity, and Beauty). They are also handmade by Balinese and Indian artisans who “work under certified humane conditions, are paid a fair wage and produce based on their cultural traditions and natural resources.” A necklace in this design is also available. As for size, it is comprised of 108 beads at 7 mm each.Hangs 47 cm. (Length is approximate as each piece of jewelry is unique.)
This sells for USD$148.
