Jewel of the day: Jacquie Aiche Ethiopian Opal Pyramid Baguette Hoop Earrings

Here is something a bit different in the way of a hoop earring from LA-based Jacquie Aiche. These hoop earrings are set with opals in a triangular shape (or as she terms them, pyramids). They are available in 14k yellow, white or rose gold. Though the site description says these are, “pave diamond double Ethiopian pyramid and square baguette hoops” I’m missing the diamonds and baguettes (which are generally rectangular and not square?) Despite the confusing description, they are pretty and a neat take on the classic hoop.

These sell for USD$3,815.

Jewel of the day: Jaquie Aiche Blesslev Pink Amulet on Labradorite

Ylang23 carries such an intriguing array of traditional and less so designs. This item is described by them this way: This amulet from the Blesslev collection by Jacquie Aiche is handmade with polished sting ray and detailed with a faceted labradorite stone bezel set in vermeil. The amulet measures 1 7/8″ long and is suspended from 32″ labradorite bead chain.

A stunning collection of jewelry, rooted in the belief of the protective healing powers of amulets. This is a universal concept that transcends the border of religions. Christianity, Buddhism, Judaism, Hinduism and Islam all covet the belief that the powers of joy, protection and healing can be encapsulated within wearable blessed objects. These amulets imbue the wearer with the spirit of the goddess.”

It sells for USD $475.

Jewel of the day: Jacquie Aiche Seven Diamond Finger Bracelet

This is an intriguing item from Jacquie Aiche, available for sale from LA’s Roseark. It’s a place I mean to get to every time I’m in LA but have yet to actually visit.

And I know that, as pretty as this is, my klutzy nature would probably see the chain broken or the diamonds popped within a day. I can just see it snagging, catching and otherwise getting in the way. But I can also see it looking vaguely mysterious on the right (composed) wearer.

Details on the site are scant, other than it being made of 14 karat yellow gold and set with an indeterminate amount of diamonds. It sells for USD $1,395.
